Shalom! Today, I warmly invite you to join me in prayer. Life can be complex and challenging, but together, we can lift each other up through our faith. Over the past five to six years, I have gone through profound struggles and remarkable healing that I can only testify was made through sin and God's own plan of redemption for me. I hope my journey helps you.

My name is K.M. Berrios, I am the Founder of Korban Books, an author and artist originally from Puerto Rico. Currently based in Orlando, Florida, I have realized my dream of publishing my own stories by starting a publishing business through self-publishing tools. Thanks to the Bible, I focused that entrepreneurial effort on faith-based fiction. It's the best and wisest business decision I've ever made!

My Early Years and the Path to Healing

Being a writer in Puerto Rico, I was part of a vibrant culture and supportive community. However, as I transitioned from being a child of divorce into adulthood, I found myself in destructive relationships that caused immense pain. Eventually, I faced experiences of ritual abuse and electronic harassment, which left emotional scars and feelings of isolation.

During these dark years, I often felt overwhelmed and confused. Yet, amidst the turmoil, I turned to God for help. I embraced prayer as a source of comfort and guidance. Jesus' words assured me that He would be present in my struggles. By connecting with Him, I found the strength to begin my healing journey.

The Role of Faith in My Recovery

Throughout my healing process, I discovered that faith in God was going to be my lifeline--nothing else would play a higher role in my survival. I realized that Adonai had a unique purpose for my life, even when I was under so much uncertainty. My connection with Jesus, or Yeshua, became the cornerstone of my recovery.

As I began to share my story, I not only processed my own experiences but also connected with others who faced similar challenges. Though I did not always have the support of leadership in my faith community, God changed the scenarios where there was unbelief, transforming them into relationships of love. I was a sheep, and I found shepherds with a good, caring eye and the power of the Spirit, which is always a great indication that you're in the right church. We are human, all of us. Even Moses didn't make it to the Promised Land. The Archangel Mikael knows that--he had to fight for his soul when he died. And so, we will make mistakes at every level of life, even the pastoral role.

Through my trials, I summoned the courage to confront the pain I had endured. I learned to identify the signs of spiritual harassment and recognize the effects of religious abuse, particularly manifestations of witchcraft. Understanding these elements was crucial in my path to healing.

The Importance of Community and Prayer

My journey has highlighted the indispensable role of community in the healing process. We are called to help one another in times of trouble, and prayer is a powerful means to do so. That's why I always encourage everyone to reach out to others, pray for one another, and provide support when needed.

As I continue on my healing journey, I feel driven to advocate for those with similar experiences, the people who aren't heard or who are called "crazy" or "tinfoil hat conspiracy theorists" for telling their story. My work with Korban Books allows me to share stories of hope and resilience, which my Father in Heaven has taught me to have, and to connect my books to the subjects of spiritual defeat versus victory in Christ, ritual abuse in contrast with the modern world, and relational harassment that meets the love of God and changes all things for good. For example, one of my upcoming projects, titled simply Caramelo, imagines the life of a teenager by that same name who lives in Cuba and is undergoing some coming-of-age dilemmas, such as liking a boy for the first time. In her journey, Caramelo finds herself surrounded not only by questions about her sexuality but also with an unusual antagonist, Carmen, whose mother is a Santera. Caramelo will have to learn how to fight a different battle on the day that she learns she has become a victim of ritual abuse--the battle called spiritual warfare.

My experiences have taught me that through faith, we can navigate life's challenges. God is consistently present, guiding us through our darkest moments and leading us toward the light of healing.

Moving Forward with Hope

Today, I stand as proof of the healing power of faith and the significance of community support. My journey has not been simple, but it has transformed me. I am thankful for the lessons learned and the wonderful people who have supported me throughout.

As I write and publish, my hope is to inspire others to desire healing and find strength in their faith. I invite you to walk alongside me, and learn how to fight, wait, and live for the Lord, and pray for one another in support of our path through life's complexities. My testimony serves as a reminder that even in our darkest hours, healing and hope are within reach. I am grateful for the chance to share my journey with you and excited to see how God continues to touch our lives.
