K.M. Berríos: Founder & Author

AMANECER MEDIA is a faith-based publisher established in 2021 by author K.M. Berríos. Our motto is 'Media to Awaken. Stories to be told. Fiction that's real,' because we focus on fiction that explores real life through the unique lens of the believer's faith, seeking to awaken the spirit from the deep-sleep state that mainstream media has left us with. We write about the meaning of life and the role of faith in overcoming everyday challenges. Our published books will cover a variety of genres, including fantasy, historical fiction, romance, drama, and children's stories. Currently, we have three published books in the market, and we continue to write for the delight of our readers. Amanecer Media collaborates with other artists of similar faith, to convey our messages.

Author K.M. Berríos, born May 26, 1981, is natural from Puerto Rico. Raised on the island, she developed a deep love for the arts, particularly literature, painting, and acting, and for the English language. An avid reader, she has been writing stories since the third grade. She grew up around literary influences such as Julia de Burgos, Shakespeare, fantasy children's stories such as J.M. Barrie's "Peter Pan," Antoine Saint Exupery's "The Little Prince," and Mexican movies from Mario Moreno "Cantinflas" and Jorge Negrete.
In the third grade, Berríos received an assignment to write a short story for Spanish class. Excited to exercise the right to craft a story of her own, she developed and structured a full book, complete with illustrations, out of stapled notebook pages, on pencil. This was her first true literary work, titled "La Pequeña Margarita,"(The Brave Little Daisy). "You are a great writer," her Spanish teacher told her. "You should pursue this as a career." It was the very first positive reinforcement that she would get as an artist.
Publishing her books was Berríos' greatest dream. She wrote story after story for many years, trying to find the perfect one. She also wrote many poems, some of which were published in Puerto Rico. But her work was all secular. After her first rejection on a long-length novel titled "Hollow Boy," her dream finally came true. Who knew self-publishing was a thing, and that it was actually very easy? She began this venture under the label Korban Books, in 2020. "There is a Barn in the American Dream (Or How a Jibaro Built a Bridge)" was born in 2021, what would be her very first faith-based story published in print. She later published her second book on her website, a free short story called "Faith and the Las Vegas Baker." Berríos' third book, "El huerto de Elena" (Elena's Orchard, O Pomar de Elena), was published on July 7, 2025. Her latest project involves the creation of an AI Help Desk personified as "The Juice Lab."

Amanecer Media was officially born in March 2026. The author started off this new adventure by showcasing her work in collaboration with The Juice Lab. Her first productions include the creation of three ministerial musical enterprises: Fruits of Zion, Judah's Pen, and Yael's Peg, which cater to diverse age groups for bold and prophetic Christian praise and worship. Then, on March 17th, Berríos published her 4th book, a hybrid novella titled "Sinless in the City," which is her first official Kindle book, also available in paperback.

Her works also include psalms, video productions, and non-secular devotionals.

Berríos currently lives in Orlando, FL. She hopes to sell her books across the nation and beyond, especially in Puerto Rico, other Latin American countries, Canada, and Israel.
